To manage operations, a state-of-the-art collective control system was put into trial operation at hydroelectric units. Recently, operators have been logging deviations in the power output readings of these units. After a period of time, the readings returned to normal. The investigation pinpointed the cause of the system's abnormal behavior: a dismissed employee of the supplier company had tampered with the control parameters in order to harm their former employer. The company intends to take legal action.
